Signaling
Tonight I have to teach a small session at scouts about signaling. Lucky for me I have my Dad’s fieldbook from when he was in scouts on my desk at all times. Quick refference for all sorts of camping tricks and good idea starter. In two weeks the troop is headed out here to Lonehollow
for a weekend camp out. It’s better known as Battle Weekend. The troop tonight gets divided into two armys, blue and red. Starting with this meeting sides are divded, plans start to come together and in two weeks 48 hours of insane capture the flag will begin. This time there is a twist, the flags are moving. The game has been modified by added “downed pilots” a red pilot has been downed in the blue side, and visa versa. Our objective is to rescue our pilots, and capture their pilots. Battle Weekends are very popular with the troop and it is something we look forward to.
Playing at Lonehollow should prove to be a good challenge. Most of the campers have never been to the section of camp we are playing at, so its going to be mostly unexplored land. The size of this place also makes the game more challenging. In two weeks come back and check for updates about the weekend.
